The Altered Hours are a 5 piece psych rock band from Cork City, Ireland. Dig Early is their 2nd single following the band’s previous outing “Sweet Jelly Roll” which was recorded in autumn 2012 with Fabian Leseure in Berlin and released in April 2013 on 10” vinyl by A Recordings (Brian Jonestown Massacre, Dirty Beaches). Last year saw The Altered Hours tour the UK and Ireland several times, including appearances at Liverpool Psych Fest, Electric Picnic, shows with Wooden Shjips and Singapore Sling as well as a handful of appearances on the mainland in support of their previous single. Dig Early is a very Cork affair, with the band opting this time round to record at home with local musician and producer Chris Somers, collaborating with The Black Mariah (Triskel Arts Centre) to design artwork for the single and release the record through ourselves of course (now resident in Cork for over 2 years).

The single is supported by a video - created by (bandmember) Elaine Howley, Mary Kelleher & Izabella Szczutkowska - which went live on YouTube ahead of the records release. Web :
